Amazon Kindle on Oprah
By feeji | November 5, 2008
The other day on Oprah’s show, she had Jeff Bezos on talking about the Kindleand she was telling everyone how much she loves hers.
She mentioned that the price was somewhat steep at $359 but that it will pay for itself with books at $9.99 (or free, as readers of this blog know)and it is environmenally friendly since they obviously don’t use paper.
Oprah also mentioned the Kindle on her website and included some of the books that she has on her own Kindle. Here’s a link to the article on her site: Oprah talks about the Kindle
This should be a great sales boost for the Kindleas is the case with any product that Oprah endorses. The endorsement should also help the Kindle to move ahead of the pack as the top electronic book reader on the market.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted a Kindle or not but I saw that Oprah episode and decided that I would get one. I’m glad I did get it, I use it all the time.
